Motion is a paid AI productivity app that combines your calendar, tasks, and projects into one system that schedules itself. Instead of manually deciding when to work on each task, Motion’s AI reads your deadlines, priorities, and calendar availability, then places every task into an open time slot for you. When a new meeting appears or a deadline shifts, it replans your entire day in seconds. Freelancers, project managers, and small teams use it to stop spending mental energy on when to do things, so they can spend it on the work itself.

How Motion works

Motion runs on three connected layers: the task list, the calendar, and the AI scheduler.

• The task list: You add tasks with a deadline, a time estimate (how long the task will take), and a priority level. You can also set schedule restrictions per task, for example “only schedule this during mornings” or “only on weekdays.” Projects group related tasks and let you define dependencies between them so Motion knows the correct order.
• The AI scheduler: Every time you add a task, Motion looks at your calendar availability, your existing task queue, and each task’s priority and deadline. It then picks the best open slot and blocks it on your calendar. No manual dragging required.
• Real-time rescheduling: When your calendar changes (a new meeting, a cancelled appointment, a task that ran over), Motion replans your remaining tasks automatically. It will also proactively flag when a deadline is at risk based on what is actually blocking your calendar, before you miss it.
• Integrations power the full picture: Motion syncs with Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, iCloud, Zoom, Gmail, and Microsoft Teams. Every event from connected calendars counts as blocked time, so the AI schedules around your real availability rather than a hypothetically empty day.

Motion also includes an AI Notetaker that joins your meetings, transcribes them, and generates a list of action items you can approve and add to your task queue in one click. This keeps meetings from producing decisions that never get acted on.
