We run intensive programmes for people who want to do more than keep up with AI; people who want to build with it, ship it, and stay at the frontier as it evolves.
AI is creating entire categories of roles that didn’t exist two years ago. The engineers and builders who move now, who ship agentic systems, deploy retrieval pipelines, and design production-grade infrastructure, are writing the rules of this industry.
We exist to give you everything you need to step through that window: a curriculum built around what employers are actively hiring for, instructors who live and work at the frontier, and a structure designed to get something real into your hands, not just your head.
BuildrLabs was founded under Hatch Works, Sri Lanka’s leading tech and startup hub. We watched talented people enter the industry and hit a wall; not from lack of ability, but from lack of exposure to what real-world AI engineering actually looks like.
So we built the programme we wished existed: designed by practitioners, structured around outcomes, and grounded in real projects from day one.
Every module maps to what hiring teams are looking for right now. The curriculum updates each cohort based on direct feedback from our partner companies — not what was relevant two years ago.
Every instructor is an active industry professional. They've shipped AI in production, navigated real codebases, and dealt with the problems textbooks skip. They bring all of that into the room.
The programme ends with two deployed systems, a GitHub portfolio, and a live presentation to industry hiring leads on Demo Day. Not an exam. A career moment.
Real people. Real projects. Real careers you can learn from.
Every cohort we run is a step towards AI literacy for all. Every builder who goes through the programme becomes part of what we’re building.
Because cohort accountability, real-time feedback, and the Hatch ecosystem are central to the experience. You can learn AI online. You can't replicate being inside a building full of startups, engineers, and founders, and having your instructors available when something breaks.
Hatch Works is Sri Lanka's leading tech and startup hub. It's where BuildrLabs runs out of, and it's part of what makes the programme valuable; the community, the startup access, and the connections you build just by being in the building.
