Go to suno.com and sign up with a Google or Discord account — no payment details needed for the free plan. The interface is straightforward: type a description in the prompt box and click Create. Suno generates two tracks, which you can play, extend, or remix.
The fastest way to improve output quality is to be specific in your prompts. Instead of “country song,” try “upbeat honky-tonk country with slide guitar, male vocals, about driving cross-country.” Instead of “sad song,” try “melancholy indie folk, fingerpicked guitar, female vocals, about a long-distance relationship.” Genre, instrumentation, vocal type, mood, and theme all refine the output significantly. If the first two variants are not right, regenerate — slight randomness means a second run often produces something closer to what you want.
Commercial use rights are included on the Pro plan ($10/month) and Premier plan ($30/month). Songs generated on the free tier are for personal, non-commercial use only — you cannot monetise them on YouTube, license them, or use them in paid client work. If you plan to use Suno output in ads, branded content, or any monetised project, you need a paid plan.
